Proposed Action

Increase drainage capacity for Mill Bayou (east of Tallulah), Walnut Bayou, Bayou Mothiglam, Panola Bayou, and Cypress Bayou via snagging and dredging or similar bank and stream-bed rehabilitation to increase flow and drainage to the Tensas River. 

Need for Action

In addition to flood and sediment related damages to crops, homes, and infrastructure, attempts to improve gravity drainage in the area solely via existing natural and manmade waterways have led to greater flooding threats to Madison Parish.
