US 64/US 491
to Colorado State Line Project
NMDOT CN 5101380
Project Overview
The project corridor begins at the US 491/US 64 Intersection in Shiprock, NM and ends at the Colorado State line to the north. The primary goals of this project are to provide safety for users and the community, address community and social issues, maintain environmental harmony, promote livability, create lasting value for the community and use community and agency resources effectively. The project team is currently wrapping up the study phase and is expected to post the Phase B report to this website in March 2024, which will discuss the viable alternatives developed by the project team that were further developed and evaluated.
Recommendations will then be made to NMDOT District 5, who will prioritize the project for construction as funding becomes available.
