Daley Ranch Vegetation Mapping

Comprehensive Approach for Daley Ranch Conservation Bank Vegetation Mapping

SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) understands the 3,058-acre Daley Ranch serves multiple purposes, as an ecological conservation area, a conservation bank, and an open space recreation area for the public. The Daley Ranch property’s intrinsic value as high-quality, preserved, native/semi-native habitat within the region is complemented by the property’s conservation value for sensitive flora and fauna species and function as a wildlife corridor and hardline preserve area for the Multiple Habitat Conservation Program (MHCP).

Project Goals

  • Produce an updated environmental inventory and iterative vegetation community map platform to support adaptive management of the Daley Ranch Conservation Bank,

  • Prepare a habitat monitoring report template suitable and consistent with the City of Escondido Multiple Habitat Conservation Program (MHCP) Subarea Plan requirements, and

  • Conduct a comprehensive desktop review, field surveys and technical reporting to support a comparison of the baseline conditions documented in the 1995 Biological Resources Assessment for submittal to wildlife agencies.
